Too Much Sport

{summary}

Boxing Day is of cause the mecca of sporting days for all red blooded Australians. What with the Sydney to Hobart start, and the Boxing Day test both kicking off.

Yesterday again saw a number of momentous events. Despite relatively calm seas two of the leading yachts in the Hobart, ABM Ambro and Maximus, were dismasted. Also out of the event is Koomooloo the 1968 race winner which, once abandonded by the crew, was expected to sink.

Back on dry land in Melbourne, Andrew Symmonds broke his test drought and finished the day on over 150 runs putting Australia into a good position going into day 3.

Cricket, ocean racing even if the majority have no idea, its a tradition just like left over pudding. You can upset your grandmother by not having another helping of pudding if you like, but I for one have no intention in breaking with tradition.

It really is the time of year when too much sport is never enough!

Cricket? Yacht racing? Oh look, there’s grass growing over there… forgive me while I go look at that instead *hehe*
