For some foolish reason a trip to the city centre was made today even though some serious annual leave relaxation is supposed to be in order.

Not only is Queen Street Mall more overrun than a normal weekday lunchtime with sale special hunters, but the dismantling crews are on scene. The Christmas tree at the top of the Queen Street mall looks to be the first to go, although rain is expected to slightly delay their progress.

The angels that have looked over us for the past month will also soon be gone for another year.

So true - for the last month it feels like there are a million more people crammed in the Mall than there should be. And they all seem to be smoking Or goths. Or both. I will miss the angels, though
